Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose white flour
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (divided use)
- 3 cups strawberries, divided use
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350º F.
- In a medium bowl, mix flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar and butter together to form a dough. Press dough into a round pizza pan and bake for 15 minutes. Cool to room temperature.
- Beat cream cheese, vanilla and sugar until fluffy. Spread over cooled crust. Slice 2 cups strawberries and layer over cream cheese filling.
- Mash the remaining cup strawberries. In a medium sauce pan, cook the mashed strawberries, remaining 1/4 cup granu.lated sugar and cornstarch until the sauce is clear. Spread over the sliced berries. Chill for at least 1 hour.
- Cut into 12 portions and serve.
