BACK TO RESULTS \\ Diet & Nutrition Recipes Greek Yogurt Berry Parfait

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup low fat vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/4 cup frozen sliced strawberries
  • Mason jar or bowl

Preparation

  1. Mix lemon juice and honey into yogurt.
  2. Place from strawberries in the bottom of a mason jar. Top with yogurt mixture.
  3. Let the jar set in the refrigerator overnight and grab in the morning. You can stir to incorporate the berries, which after thawing will create a nice strawberry sauce.

Helpful hints

Greek yogurt has more protein than other yogurts. Can be a good substitute for eggs in the morning.

You may substitute a sugar free sweetener for the honey to lower to added sugar content and make it diabetes friendly.
