Ingredients

  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 pounds fresh asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinaigrette dressing
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  1. Mince the garlic; cut the asparagus into 2″ pieces.
  2. Heat the oil in a skillet, add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Add the asparagus pieces; stir to mix.
  4. Add the red wine vinaigrette dressing and pepper.
  5. Stir and heat an additional minute.
  6. Remove from the heat and serve.

Helpful hints

  • Make your own red wine vinaigrette dressing by combining equal parts of red wine vinegar and olive oil with low sodium herb blend.
