Ingredients

  • 1 jalapeno pepper
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 cup cilantro

Preparation

  1. Remove seeds from the jalapeno pepper.
  2. Place ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  3. Store sauce in the refrigerator in a covered container for up to one week.

Helpful hints

  • Substitute parsley instead of cilantro if preferred. Replace jalapeno with your choice of chile pepper.
  • Adjust cumin and oregano to your taste.
  • Use Mojo Sauce as a marinade or dipping sauce. Try it with Sylvia’s Arroz a la Cubano recipe.
