Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup low-calorie cranberry juice
- 12 ounces fresh or frozen whole cranberries
- 1 cup low calorie granulated sweetener
- 1 teaspoon fresh orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Preparation
- In a medium sauce pan combine water, cranberry juice, cranberries and sweetener. Heat to a boil then reduce to medium heat.
- Stir in orange zest and cinnamon.
- Cook for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Helpful hints
- Cranberry sauce keeps for 1 week in the refrigerator.
- Sweetness of one cup of a granular sweetener is equal to 1 cup of sugar. Adjust to your taste.
- Use frozen cranberries if fresh are not available.
