Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 4 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 2 tablespoon chopped dill pickles
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon smoke paprika
- 1-pound lean ground beef, (7-10%)
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 cups chopped iceberg lettuce
- 1/2 cup onion
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar
Preparation
- Mix mayonnaise, mustard, chopped pickles, vinegar, sugar, chopped onion and paprika and set aside.
- Heat sauté pan on medium and add beef, breaking up clumps until cooked through. Add pepper and mix in pan.
- While beef is cooking, chop lettuce and slice onion.
- When ready to serve mix lettuce, cheese and onion. This can be divided into 4 bowls, or you can store any unused portions.
- Add about a 1/4 of beef to each bowl and drizzle with dressing. Serve right away.
Helpful hints
You can store the ingredients separately and use them as leftovers. If on a lower protein diet use only 8 ounces of beef.
May use light mayonnaise but look for the lowest sodium version.
