Ingredients
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
Preparation
- Crush garlic. Whisk together first 5 ingredients and blend well.
- Slowly whisk in olive oil until ingredients no longer separate.
- Store remaining dressing in a tightly sealed jar and refrigerator until ready to serve. Keeps for 2 weeks.
Helpful hints
- This dressing is great served over crisp Romaine lettuce with grilled steak or chicken for a tasty entrée salad.
- If available, use aged balsamic vinegar for a perfect balance of acid and sweet flavors.
