Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • Pinch of nutmeg for dusting

Preparation

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients into a small sauce pan over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a soft boil while stirring with a whisk.
  3. Transfer to a coffee mug and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Helpful hints

  • Substitute almond milk with coconut milk beverage if preferred.
  • Replace sugar with desired substitute for a lower carbohydrate drink.
  • Recipe not recommended if you are on a low calcium diet. Many milk alternatives are high in calcium.
