Fluid Tips

Be wary of the heat if you know you’ll be outside in the sun at a pool party or cookout. Spending time outside in the heat can make you sweat and feel thirsty. If you are on a fluid limit it may be easier to avoid drinking too much fluid if you stay cool. Move towards shaded areas and limit your time while the sun is at its peak. Remember that anything that is liquid at room temperature counts toward your fluid limit (think popsicles, ice cream, shaved ice, and gelatin).
