Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoon chopped dill pickles
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoke paprika
  • 1-pound lean ground beef, (7-10%)
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 cups chopped iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar

Preparation

  1. Mix mayonnaise, mustard, chopped pickles, vinegar, sugar, chopped onion and paprika and set aside.
  2. Heat sauté pan on medium and add beef, breaking up clumps until cooked through. Add pepper and mix in pan.
  3. While beef is cooking, chop lettuce and slice onion.
  4. When ready to serve mix lettuce, cheese and onion. This can be divided into 4 bowls, or you can store any unused portions.
  5. Add about a 1/4 of beef to each bowl and drizzle with dressing. Serve right away.

Helpful hints

You can store the ingredients separately and use them as leftovers. If on a lower protein diet use only 8 ounces of beef.

May use light mayonnaise but look for the lowest sodium version.
